In my opinion creativity is a talent. Cleese’s prospective on creativity though says that creativity is not a talent that a person does have or does not have. But he says that everyone has creativity whether or not they use it. John Cleese also stated that creativity depends on your IQ. In my opinion creativity is a talent because not everyone seems to be creative, which then you could look at it as if it were a sport. Everyone can try to play that sport and be on the team but does not mean they are good at that sport, which we would then say the person that is good at the sport has talent. That leads back to the creativity idea of talent sure everyone can have creativity but does not mean they are creative, which in my definition of talent is talent is a natural skill. But stated by Cleese that creativity is not a talent, then how can creativity not be a talent. So in my personal opinion creativity is a talent or other words a skill in which we naturally have. But I do agree with the statement that everyone has creativity just a lot of people are scared to use it or do not know how to use it well, which then goes back to it has to be a talent.

I like how you related the idea of creativity to to sports. It was a very creative thing to relate it back to something you can relate to. I agree with you that everyone can try to be creative but that doesnt mean there going to be good at it. Your post also makes me wonder if there are some poeple who are creative choose not to be. Almost like being talented at a sport but choosing not to play. I also think even untalented people can get better if they work on being creative.
